DSU Scholarship 2026/2027: New Grant Amounts and ISEE Limit
MUR has increased the minimum DSU grant amounts and the ISEE/ISPE income limits for 2026/2027 by 1.4%. Students from outside the city receive at least €7,171.11; the ISEE upper limit is €28,339.88.
The minimum amounts and income limits of Italy's regional scholarship (Diritto allo Studio – DSU) for 2026/2027 were set by MUR Directorial Decrees 175/2026 and 176/2026. Both were increased by 1.4% in line with inflation.
Minimum annual grant
- Students from outside the city (fuori sede): €7,171.11
- Commuting students (pendolari): €4,190.71
- Students living in the university city (in sede): €2,890.16
International students are usually classed as fuori sede. Depending on the region, part of the grant may be provided as housing and meals.
Income limits
- ISEE upper limit: €28,339.88
- ISPE upper limit: €61,608.48
These are national upper limits; regional bodies (e.g. DSU Toscana, EDISU Piemonte, DiSCo Lazio) may set lower ones. For families living abroad, income is calculated with the ISEE Parificato.
Application calendar
Regional calls are usually published in July–August, with deadlines that vary by region. Income documents must be issued and legalised in your home country, so start early.
